LEARNING AT HOME

COVID-19 has forced a change — at least temporarily — to the way we deliver education. Although parents have likely settled into some semblance of a routine by now, my staff and I have assembled a list of fun resources to support learning at home. It’s not comprehensive, so we’d love to hear what resources you’ve been using!

With things slowly opening back up in the city, there will be new opportunities to get out safely and explore. In the meantime please enjoy this list of resources to help keep kids engaged and learning — and with any luck, cut down on a distraction or two when you’re trying to do your own work.

As always, my office is here to help. You are welcome to contact me via email at sarah.hamilton@edmonton.ca with any questions or concerns.

Ward sipiwiyiniwak is located on Treaty 6 Territory and within the Métis homelands and Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4. We acknowledge this land as the traditional territories, traditional meeting grounds, gathering places and travelling routes of many First Nations such as the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinabae (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, and Inuit peoples. It is a welcoming place for all peoples from around the world to share Edmonton as a home.
